Barbara Dunahoo Sept. 26, 1920 - June 24, 2001

Barbara Dunahoo, 80, of Nevada, died Sunday at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames from a lung disease. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Nevada with the Rev. Steve Williams officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery near Nevada.

Barbara Dunahoo was born Sept. 26, 1920, in Colo, the daughter of Fred and Bessie (Bartlett) Troutner. She married Donald Dunahoo June 10, 1938, in Boone. She had worked at Graphic Forms in Nevada for many years. She was a member of First United Mehtodist Church of Nevada.

She is survived by five sons, Larry Dunahoo of Nevada, Leo Dunahoo of Story City, Darrell Dunahoo of Mattoon, Ill., Don Dunahoo of Glenwood and Marvin Scherr of Ames; one daughter, Joyce Ridgway of Nevada; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and one sister, Bernice DeHart of Council Bluffs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two granddaughters, seven brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Memorials can be made to Homeward Hospice.

Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is in charge of arrangements.
