WARD A. JACKSON
Funeral services will be held from the Ryan Funeral Home Saturday morning at 11 a.m. with Rev. Marvin L. Hulse officiating for Ward Jackson, 415 K Ave., Nevada who died Wednesday morning at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames where he had been for the past 2 days. He had been in failing health for the past 3 years. He was 65.
Born June 2, 1909 in Tama County to Warren and Bessie Jackson, he had been a resident of Nevada for the past 29 years. He was a retired foreman for the Iowa Electric Light and Power Company and was a Veteran of World War II. He was married September 14, 1935 in Anamosa to Ruby Flint.
He is survived by his wife; 3 sons, Howard A. of Tempe, Arizona, Harold F. of Nevada and Floyd E. with the U.S. Army in Germany; 7 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mrs. Lillie Palmer of Toledo, Mrs. R. Lou Dixon of Scottsdale, Arizona and Mrs. Artha Frodyma of Chevy Chase, Maryland. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother.
Burial will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens Cemetery at Nevada.
