Alyce Jane (Matters) Jensen
February 28, 1932 - October 3, 1999

Alyce Jane (Matters) Jensen, 67, died Sunday of complications of a blood disorder at Mary Greeley Medical Center. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Gilbert Lutheran Church with the Rev. Thomas Prochnow officiating. Burial will be a private family burial in Gilbert Cemetery.

Alyce Jane (Matters) Jensen was born in Milford Township to Harold and Rhoby (Mathews) Matters. She was a resident of Gilbert most of her life. She married Paul Jensen on February 15, 1951. She was a farm assistant and also worked as a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, two daughters, Jane Thompson of Mexico, Mo. and Lea Fagervik of Ankeny; one son, John of Ames; one sister, Margaret Stumbo of Greenwood, S.C.; one brother, Fred Matters of Des Moines; and seven grandchildren, Nick Rosenberry, Jaci Rosenberry, Ben Rosenberry, Joe Jensen, Michaela Jensen, Andy Fagervik and Alexandra Fagervik.

Visitation with be 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Gilbert Lutheran Church in Gilbert. Memorials may be made to Gilbert Lutheran Church. Adams Funeral Home, Ames, handled arrangements.
