Mrs. Sam Jondall Died Sunday Night At Roland, Iowa
Mrs. Sam Jondall died Sunday night at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan J. Sampson, south of Roland, from complications of old age. She has been poorly for several years, and had been bedfast for four months.
Mrs. Jondall was born in Lee County, Ill., Aug. 13, 1870 and came to Iowa when she was a young girl. Her parents were Knut and Bertha Prescott.
She was married to Sam Jondall, April 9, 1891, by the late Rev. C. C. Holger. She had always lived in the Roland community.
Survivors are 4 children. Clifford Jondall and Mrs. Ivan Sampson of Roland, Truman of Alden, and Floyd of Hopkins, Minn. Also by 11 grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death, also three sons.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon with praryer service at 1:30 at the Sampson home and at Salem Lutheran Church at 2 o'clock with Rev. O. Holen in charge. Burial will be in the Roland cemetery.
