Mrs. James P. Larson

Mrs. James Peter Larson, a resident of Palo Alto county for nearly fifty years, succumbed at her farm home eight miles northwest of Emmetsburg last Wednesday following an illness of nearly four years' duration. Mrs. Larson, as stated above, had been in failing health for some time. Death came peaceably to relieve her of her sufferings.

The funeral was held Saturday. Services were conducted at the home at one o'clock and in the South Walnut church at 1:30 p. m. Rev. Christianson of Graettinger, assisted by Rev. M. C. Thompson of Emmetsburg, officiated. Interment was in the South Walnut cemetery. The pall bearers were: L. C. Larson, P. A. Peterson, Albert Hermanson, Joe Amdahl, James Hanson and William Fife.

Theresa Marie Jondall, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lars Jondall, was born on a farm in Lost Island township March 7, 1889. She was 47 years, 2 months and 19 days old at the time of her passing. After having attended the schools of her home community she was united in marriage on January 23, 1910, to James Peter Larson. To this union five children were born. They are Chris, Lloyd, Myrtle, Theresa and Mamie Larson, who live at home. Four sisters also survive. They are Mrs. Louise Wilcox of Ruthven, Mrs. John Lund of San Diego, California, Mrs. L. W. Criswell and Hannah Jondall of Ames. Two brothers, Fred and Louis Jondall, live at Ames,

The deceased was one of the spendid Christian women of the northwest part of our community. She was faithful to her church in all its activites and she took a creditable part in the social and business life of her immediate vicinity. She raised a large family of sons and daughters who will ever remember her for her many acts of kindness and for her efforts in their behalf. Her husband found her a willing, loyal companion, who sacrificed much for the best interest of their family life. She was charit-
