THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Saturday, April 11, 2009.

Kathryn Marie Bochmann, 63, of Mission, Texas, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009, of a longtime illness at McAllen Medical Center. A celebration of her life will be at 1 pm. Saturday, June 6, at the Slater Fire Department.

Kathryn Borwick was born Jan. 10, 1946, in Story City, to Marion Borwick and Wilma Wicks. She attended Ames High School. On June 17, 1963, she married David Steven Bochmann. She lived in Ames were she was employed at Bourns Inc. and General Filter.

She cared for others and thought nothing of herself. She was loved by so many and will be truly missed by everyone she touched. She was our lighthouse who guided us through the storms and kept us safe. We love you.

Survivors include her husband, David Bochmann, of Mission, Texas; mother, Wilma Wicks, of Ames; brother, Kenny Borwick, of Nevada; son, Steven Bochmann, of Waukee; daughter, Sandra Nelson, of Slater; and grandchildren, Lauren Bochmann, Jacob Bochmann, and Austin Nelson.

She was preceded in death by her father, Marion Borwick; and stepfather, Talman Wicks.
