THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, March 31, 2009.
Robert Ellis “Bob” Burk, 64, of Story City, died Sunday, March 29, 2009, at his home in Story City. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 2, at Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City. Burial will be in Story City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, at Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City.
Bob was born Aug. 3, 1944, in Belmond, to Donald and Doris (Davis) Burk.
He is survived by his wife, Karen, of Story City; one brother, Tom Burk, of Goodell; and one sister, Pat Formanek, of Clear Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
