THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, March 31, 2009.

Joan Evans, 76, of Nevada, died Sunday, March 29, 2009, at Story County Long Term Care. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 2, at Chet Ryan Mortuary, 708 Fifth St., in Nevada, with Pastor David R. Burling officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, at the mortuary.

She is survived by one daughter, Sandy (Mick) Hall, of Colo; one son, Craig (Val) Evans, of Boone; two brothers, Jack Burdick, of Centre, Ala., and Carroll Burdick, of Chandler, Ariz.; one sister, Clarice Sapp, of West Des Moines; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established in Joan’s name.
