Mrs. B. Soper of Nevada Dies Suddenly Sun.
NEVADA - Mrs. B. M. Soper, 46, wife of a prominent Nevada attorney, died at the Iowa Sanitarium here Sunday noon, following a brief illness. Funeral services were held at the Memorial Lutheran church Tuesday afternoon
at 3 p. m., after which burial will be in the Nevada cemetery. The services were in charge of Dr. J. O. Simon, pastor of the church.Death was due to an acute infection. Mrs. Soper had submitted to a major operation about two years ago, but apparently had made a complete recovery.
Mrs. Soper was born at Chelsea, Ia., Sept. 23. 1889, Mayme V. Berka, eldest daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Louis Berka. She came to Nevada with the family as a small girl and had lived here since.After attending the Nevada public schools Mrs. Soper was employed in the offices of the Nevada
Evening Journal for 20 years as a bookkeeper.She was married to Bernice M. Soper at Des Moines at the time Mr. Soper was in the United States army and stationed at Camp Dodge.
She leaves besides her husband and a niece, Betty Poter, who has made her home with Mrs. Soper, her parents, two sisters, Miss Louise Berka of Madison, Wis., and Mrs. Betty Erickson of Nevada, and three brothers, Milo Berka, Jerry G. Berka and Harry Berka, all of Nevada.
