CARL JOHNSON OF STORY CITY DIES

ROLAND - Carl Johnson, 27, died Saturday morning at 6 a. m., at the Story City hospital where he had undergone two major operations recently for stomach ulcers.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 1:30 from the home and 2 o'clock from the Bergen Lutheran church with the Rev. M. O. Sumstad in charge. Burial will be in the Roland cemetery.

Mr. Johnson had spent most of his life in Roland community where he was employed.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Helen Johnson, with whom he made his home and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. A. M. Lee, Howard Ferkin and Joe Johnson of Roland, Richard Johnson, Mrs. Dane Crook of Chicago, Mrs. Charles Groshong of Albuquerque, N. M., Mrs. Adrian Rankin of Zearing and Mrs. E. W. Safland of Des Moines.
