Burns to Death Saving Goods For Neighbor

GARDEN CITY— Gifford Larson, 34, a former resident of Roland who lived two and a half miles north of this place, was burned to death and a man named Neubauer, a neighbor, was seriously burned about 6 p. m., Friday while they were assisting another neighbor Rasmus Skartwedt, in removing furniture from his burning house. Also surviving are six brothers, Jordan of Grundy Center, Sherman and Orville of Roland, Ray of Waterloo, Frank of Ames, and Harry of Garden City; three sisters, Mrs. Don Belmer and Mrs. E. L. Clay of Des Moines, and Ruby of Roland; also his mother, Mrs. Julia Larson of Roland.
