THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, February 3, 2009.

Delores Irving, of San Jose, Calif., passed away Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, in San Jose.

She was born in 1931 in Gallatin, Mo., to Raymond Dryer and Mildred (Maynard) Dryer. The family moved to Ames in 1942. She graduated from Ames High School in 1949. Following graduation, she moved to California where she met and married John Irving in 1953.

She is survived by her husband, John; four children; her mother, Mildred Dryer; and one brother, Robert (Bob) Dryer, of Ames.
