THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, January 20, 2009.

Patsy “Pat” Ruth Ford, 80, of Ames, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009. Funeral services will be in Springdale, Ark.

Pat was born March 24, 1928, in Whylie, Texas, to Roy and Bessi Mitchell. She owned and operated a gift and flower shop.

She is survived by her husband, Paul, of Ames; one son, Gary (Olivia) Griggs, of Story City; one sister, Debbie Benson, of Lafayette, Ore.; one brother, Jerry Mitchell, of Joshua, Texas; and four grandchildren, Emily Griggs, Parker Griggs, Blake Griggs and Ashleee Benson.

Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City and Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale, Ark., are assisting the family with arrangements.
