Derrick Scott Robey, 20, of RR 2, Ames, Ia., was found dead at his home Friday, Oct. 11, 1985.
Funeral services were at 1:30p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames with Rev. Ron Whitmer officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Ames.
Mr. Robey was born March 6, 1965, in Ames to Janet (Simonsen) Robey. He attended Nevada High School. He was a farmer.
Survivors include his mother, Janet, 729 Crestwood, Huxley, IA.; his father, Jim Silsby of Lamoni, Ia.; a brother, Doug Robey of Story City, Ia.; two stepbrothers, Bud Robey of Cambridge, Ia., and Bob Robey of Des Moines, Ia.; a stepsister, Susie Keenan of Des Moines, Ia.; and his grandparents, Magnus and Margaret Simonsen of RR 2, Ames, Ia.
Visitation was 3-9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, at Stevens memorial Chapel with family receiving friends from 7-9 p.m.
A memorial fund has been established and gifts may be sent to Janet Robey.
