W. E. NEW FUNERAL IS HELD AT NEVADA
NEVADA—Funeral services for W. E. New, 73, who died at his home here Friday afternoon were held Sunday afternoon from the Bishop Funeral home. The Rev. J. O. Simon, pastor of the Memorial Lutheran church, was in charge of services. Burial was in the Nevada cemetery. Death was caused from a heart attack.
Mr. New was born in Marlborough, England. He came to the United States with his parents in 1864 and settled in Knox county, Illinois. He was united in marriage to Flora B. Markland in Weston Ill., Feb. 15, 1891. To this union were born three children, Harry E. of near Nevada, Clarence B. and Mrs. D. T. Swanson both living near Fernald.
Mr. New and his family moved to a farm near Nevada in 1896 where they resided until Mr. New retired from farming 17 years ago. He had made his home in Nevada since that time.
Surviving besides the two sons and daughter are one sister, Mrs. Charles Morton of Pontiac, Ill., and three grandchildren.
