THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Sunday, December 7, 2008.

Hugh MacMaster Lowrie, 59, of Slater died Friday, Dec. 5, 2008. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, in Slater City Cemetery with the Rev. Whit Malone officiating.

Hugh was a graduate of Ames High School and lived in Slater for the past 12 years. He attended Iowa State University where he was employed.

He is survived by one sister, Laura Booth Lowrie-Sarappo of Basking Ridge, N.J.; one niece, Allison Inga; one nephew, PFC Salvatore Inga; and two cats.

The family of Hugh Lowrie would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Wal-Mart and the other kind souls who rendered him aid and comfort in his final moments on Friday, Dec. 5.

Adams Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
