MRS. ELMIRA HOPKINS DIES AT COLO SUNDAY
COLO — Funeral services for Mrs. Elmira Hopkins, who died at her home Sunday, will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30 from St Mary's Catholic church here. Burial will be in St. James cemetery. Mrs. Hopkins had been in ill health for seven years.
Mrs. Hopkins, a resident of this community for more than 60 years, was born Nov. 29, 1845, at Joplin, Mo. She was married to P. W. Hopkins during the Civil war period and nine children were born to the couple.
Surviving are two children, R. H. Hopkins at home and P. F. Hopkins of Des Moines, acting state director of PWA, and four grandchildren. A granddaughter, Miss Frances Nothomb, has made her home with Mrs. Hopkins for the past 12 years.
