THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, November 6, 2008.

Gwendolyn Faye (Jacobsen) Rosheim, 61, of Ames, fought a courageous battle with cancer, and was an inspiration of strength, hope and trust in her Savior. She joined Him in heaven on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, with her son, Aaron, and daughter, Maria, by her side holding her hands, while friends and family sang, "Great is the Lord."

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames. Local funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, at Heartland Baptist Church in Ames. Funeral services will also be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at Elk Horn Lutheran Church, with burial to follow in Elk Horn Lutheran Cemetery.

Gwendolyn Faye (Jacobsen) Rosheim was born Sept. 7, 1947, in Elk Horn, to Warren and Gudrun Jacobsen.

Gwen was the light of every room, shining God's love through her sparkling eyes and beautiful smile. She touched and changed everyone's life around her. Through her gentle voice, she shared her love of her children and grandchildren with everyone she met. Now that she's gone from the world, we all have a responsibility to love stronger and believe in Christ deeper. Her three children and five grandchildren were so very blessed to call her Momma and Grandma (Grammy).

Her legacy of love, strength, peace, and faith will be carried out by her children, Christopher (Tammie), Maria (Dexter), and Aaron; grandchildren, Isaiah, Grace, Rebecca, Jacob and Gabrielle; her loving parents, Warren and Gudrun Jacobsen; her sisters, Paulette (Chris) and Deb (James); and many, many friends and family.

She was reunited with her brother, Dean, in Heaven.
