MRS. COLTON, 57, OF NEAR AMES, DIES FRI.

Mrs. Maude Elizabeth Colton, 57, of west of Ames in Boone county, died at 9:05 p. m. Friday at her home. She had been ill several months from the effects of an operation.

Mrs. Colton was born near Osceola Oct. 31, 1878. She had lived in Boone county for 24 years, active In the affairs of the Church of Christ at Luther.

She is survived by her husband, M. L. Colton; one daughter, Mrs. Lucille Brooks, Napier, and one brother, R. B. Pritchett, Little Rock, Ark.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p. m. Monday from the home and at 1:30 p. m. from the Napier church. The Rev. G. H. Suttou, Boone, will be in charge of the services, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Geddes, Madrid. Burial will be in the Woodlawn cemetery, Des Moines.
