Ben Borwick of Roland Dead; Service Sun.

ROLAND — Ben Borwick, 67, died of a heart attack during the night Thursday at his home five miles north of here. He had complained of feeling ill Thursday afternoon, but death was unexpected.

A native of Norway, Mr. Borwick had resided in the United States nearly 50 years, most of that time having been spent on the homestead where he died.

Surviving are his invalid wife and the following children: Porter and Henry of near Roland, Mrs. Henry Upstwedt of Roland, Mrs. George Tegland of Randall, Mrs. Lawrence Donhowe of Story City, Mrs. Earl Quam of Roland and Benjamin, Melbourne and Ella at home. He also leaves one brother, John Borwick of north of Roland and two sisters, Mrs Peteh Durby of south of Roland and Mrs. Bertha Durby of Minneapolis, and seven brothers aud sisters in Norway. He is the first of a family of 11 children to die.

Funeral services will be conducted at Randall Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock following brief services at the home. Burial will be in Randall cemetery. The Rev. G. O. Paulsrud will be in charge.
