Funeral for Colo Woman's Mother Will Be Held Here

Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Ray, 65, of Des Moines, who died Saturday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Will Harding, at Colo, will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Adams mortuary in Ames. The Rev. W. A. Morgan, pastor of the First Methodist church will be in charge of services. Burial will be in the Iowa Center cemetery.

Mrs. Ray, who had made her home in Des Moines for the past several years, had gone to Colo two weeks ago to visit her daughter. She suffered a stroke Friday evening which caused her death. Her husband, former manager of the Farmer's grain company at Colo, died several years ago.

Mrs. Ray was born Aug. 23, 1870 in Canton, O. She resided in Boone from 1916 to 1932. She was a member of the White Shrine and Eastern Star.

She is survived by the following children. Mrs. Edna Harding and Mrs. Inez Bowers of Colo, Mildred and Wilma Ray of Des Moines, and three stepsons, Elden of St. Paul, Minn., Clark of Des Moines, and Virgil Ray of Nevada, also one brother, Joseph J. Meyers of Columbus, O.
