MRS. MARY MATHER DIES TUES. IN D. M.

Mrs. Mary C. Mather, 51, of southeast of Ames, died at 3 p. m. Tuesday in the Methodist hospital of Des Moines. Death was due to a heart disease.

Mrs. Mather was born July 28, 1884 in Jones county, Iowa. She has been a resident of near Ames since 1904.

Surviving Mrs. Mather are her husband, Benjamin J.; five sons, Lawrence, Ames; Robert, Arnold and Merrill, Nevada, and Arthur, Menomee, Wis.; one daughter, Lucille, Nevada; two brothers, R. M. Hakes, Nevada; V. A. Hakes, Amboy, Minn.; and one sister, Mrs. H. C. Olinger, Ames.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday from the Adams chapel, with the Rev. Howard Mintie, of the United Brethren church in charge. Burial will be in the Ames cemetery.
