RONALD ALLAN, FORMER AMES MAN, IS DEAD

Ronald Allen, Former Ames man and son of William Allan, 114 2. Russell avenue, Ames, died Wednesday night in New York, N. Y. The body will arrive here Friday night. Funeral arrangements have not been made.

Death was sudden. Mr. Allan was stricken with ptomaine poisoning about 9 o'clock Wednesday evening and died at midnight.

He was graduated from the Ames high school and was a professional musician.

Besides his father, a brother, William Allan, jr., with whom the father makes his home, two brothers and six sisters survive.

The brothers and sister include John of Racine, Wi., David of Council Bluffs; Mrs. Lloyd Atherton of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Charles Brown of Spencer, Mrs. Charles Cottrell of Grand Junction, Mrs. A. S. Hagen of Madison, Wis.; Mrs. A. B. Phillips of Curly, and Mrs. Eugene Nelson of Ames.
