FORMER AMES COUPLE DIES IN SPOKANE, WASH.
Edward Reed Marroll, 75, former hardware merchant in Ames, died Tuesday night, March 25, in the Sacred Heart hospital at Spokane, Wash., while his wife died in the same hospital Monday, March 31, according to word received by. Dr. A. B. Maxwell , here Monday. Both died of pneumonia. Mrs. Barroll was in the Hospital at the time of her husband's death.
Funeral services, for Mr. Barrol were held Saturday, March. 29, while those for Mrs. Barroll were held on the following Wednesday. Burial was at Spokane.
Mr. Barroll was born at Bellevue, Ia., on April 8, 1835.
Mr. Barroll moved to Ames with his parents in 1875 and for some time was in the hardware business here, later going to Colfax, Wash. Barroll retired 10 years ago.
Mr. Barroll is survived by two sisters, both of California while Mrs. Mrs. Barroll is survived by two sisters and four brothers.
[It is likely the "Marroll" was a typo and that "Barroll" is the correct spelling.]
