Judith Marie Luker 89, died and went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 25, 2008, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City with family and friends at her side.

Funeral services were held at 11 am. Thursday, August 28, 2008, at Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 North 4th Street, with Reverend Dean Hess officiating.

Graveside services were held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, August 28 in the Mamreland Cemetery, Story City, with Pastor Jim Norem officiating from the Elim Lutheran Church, Randall.
Visitation was held one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

Memorials may be directed to the Judith M. Luker Memorial Fund.

Judith Marie Hove was born June 5, 1919, in Hamilton County, Iowa the daughter of Harry and Gina Marie (Tjernagel) Hove. She was baptized and confirmed at the Elim Lutheran Church, Randall. Judy was educated at the rural and county school there.

Judy was a long time resident of Clear Lake and a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She was full of life with her great spirit and enjoyed living it, taking care of her home, sewing, cooking and baking. Judy loved spending time with her family and friends, entertaining those who crossed her threshold. Her nieces and nephews cherished their memories of the special times with her.

Judy is survived by her brother Merne Hove, Booneville, Arkansas; sister Esther (Floyd) Langland, Neosho, Missouri; thirteen nieces and nephews whom she called "her kids", and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred Luker; one infant brother and one sister Janet Borwick.
