MRS. FIDELIA CLIFT FUNERAL AT ZEARING

ZEARING - Funeral services for Mrs. Fidelia Clift, 77, mother of Sid. R. Clift, manager of the Ames Canning company, were held at the Evangelical church Wednesday afternoon at 1:30. The Rev. L. L. Baumgartner was in charge of the services.

Mrs. Clift died Monday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. O. D. Anderson, at Iowa City. Mrs. Clift has made her home with her daughter at Iowa City since the death of her husband, N. R. Clift, four years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Clift were residents of Zearing for many years. Mr. Clift being a justice of the peace and a real estate man.

Sid Clift was en route to the Pacific coast on a business trip at the time of his mother's death. He was reached by telegram at Rawlins, WYo., and immediately took a train back, reaching Ames Tuesday evening.

Besides Sid and the daughter at Iowa City, a daughter, Mrs. C. H. Anderson of Iowa Falls, and a son, Ray, at Iowa City, survive.

Mrs. Clift has been ill for some time previous to her death which resulted from old age. She had suffered two paralytic strokes.
