MRS. CHILD-STEVENS DIES AT BOONE THURS.

BOONE, Jan. 24, - Mrs. Hattie Child-Stevens, 70, former prominent Nevada resident and sister of Bert B. Child of Nevada, died here Thursday morning from the effects of a stroke of paralysis.

During her life Mrs. Child-Stevens lived in Nevada, Rhodes, Ottumwa and Boone. She was the oldest child of the late Capt. and Mrs. George W. Child of Nevada.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Eastern Star home here. Burial will be at Nevada.

Five brother and one son survive.
