Nevada Pioneer Dies In California Jan. 9

NEVADA, Jan. 15, - Daniel H. Phillips, a pioneer resident of this place, died at the home of his niece, Mrs. Miller, near Anaheim, Cal., on Thursday, January 9, according to word received here. Funeral services were held on Saturday at 4 o'clock. He was buried in the Santa Ana cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. Phillips left Nevada about five years ago to settle in Santa Ana, Cal. Mrs. Phillips died there less than a year ago. Mr. Phillips was ill at the time of his wife's death.

Mr. Phillips, who was about 87 years of age, was a long time member of the Nevada Masonic lodge.
