GEORGE VAN SCOY DIES THIS MORNING

George Van Scoy, 42 years old, died at his home at Fourth street and Walnut avenue about 10:40 this morning. He had been ill for about two years with lung trouble, but had continued at his work as a signalman at the Chicago and North Western crossing at Kellogg avenue until about a week ago.

Mr. Van Scoy, who had been a resident of Ames his entire life, is survived by his wife, and eight children, Fern, Leonard, Jesse, Don, Beatrice, Norma, Bernice, and Jean. Fern, the eldest, is 20, and Jean, the youngest, is eight.

Mr. Van Scoy also leaves one brother, Bert Van Scoy of Ames, and two sisters, Mrs. Tillie Chatterton of Peterson, Ia., and Mrs. B. D. Shull of Cleveland, O.

Funeral Arrangements have not yet been completed.

George Van Scoy Funeral Tuesday

Funeral services for George Van Scoy, who died Saturday morning at his home here, will be held at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon at the Lutheran church, and will be conducted by the Rev. I. A. Pierson, pastor of the church. Short services will be held at 2 o'clock at the home.
