Richard Buttry killed in Vietnam

Mr. and Mrs. Russell Buttry, Anaheim, Calif., were informed by the Marine Corps Friday of the death of their son, Richard Dean (Ricky) Buttry, 21, in Vietname, Nov. 18.

The Buttry family formerly lived in Ames and Mr. Buttry was employed by the Ames Daily Tribune and had worked for the Iowa State Daily.

Survivors from Ames and the Ames area include: his grandmothers, Mrs. W. C. Buttry, 921 Carroll Ave. and Mrs. Gus Tigerstrom, Boone; and aunts and uncles, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Buttry, 603 Ridgewood Ave., Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hagen, 625 13th St., Mr. and Mrs. Roy Buttry, Nevada, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Christian, Colo and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Barr, Hollywood, Fla.
