Collins Clipper, Collins, Story County, Iowa, August 21, 1902.

D. H. Armstrong was born in Des Moines county, Iowa March 9 1850, and died in Maxwell, Story County, Iowa, August 14, 1902, aged 62 years, 5 months and 6 days. He was married April 18, 1812, to Miss Hattie B. Furry, who survives him. To them were born five children. Four are living viz: Ray, Mable, Dora and Floy. Ray is foreman of a daily paper at Austin, Minn., Mable is married and also resides in Austin. Dora and Floy, the youngest children are at home with their bereaved Mother.

Deceased united with church when he was 22 years of age and was a consistent and faithful member of that communion until his death. His boyhood days were spent on the old homestead In Des Moines county. He moved to Hancock county in the early Eighties, and resided there until about two years ago, when he moved to Story county.

The cause of his death was paralysis of the heart.

Many friends of the departed in Collins township, as well as In Indian Creek, mourn his death, and deeply sympathize with the bereft widow and fatherless children.
