Sue Allen, 54, of Dakota City, died Monday, June 30, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines of cancer.

She was born Nov. 7, 1948. She had lived in Des Moines most of her life and later moved to Dakota City. She had worked at Des Moines General Hospital and UPS.

Survivors include her parents, through adoption, Loyd and Creta Bishop; a daughter, Rhonda Daniels; two granddaughters; a grandson; three half-sisters, Margie Herrick, Becky Quigly and Jodi Ford; a step-brother, Randy Meier; and two stepsisters, Saundra Rush and Brenda Alleman.

Preceding her in death was her natural mother, Mildred Ford; her father, Robert Cooper; and a sister, Joyce.

Graveside services were held today, Thursday, July 3, at Center Grove Cemetery near Cambridge.
