Westley Otis Warren, 73, of Nevada, died of emphysema on Saturday, Dec. 30, at his home in Nevada.
He was born June 15, 1927, in New Ark, S. D. to Otis J. and Bertha (Severtson) Warren. He received his education at Milford Township School, graduating in 1945. He married Ruth Miller on Sept. 14, 1952, at Bethel church in Story City. He was a farmer and retired in Nevada in 1987.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; two daughters, Linda Bochmann and Rosalie Thompson, both of Ames; a son, John Warren of rural Ames; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mavis Nelson of Houston, Texas, Gloria Grant of Newton and Lois Logan of Cedar Rapids.
His parents preceded him in death.
No services are planned, according to his wishes. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Story County. Memorials may be made to the VA Hospital in Des Moines. Adams Funeral Home, Ames, handled the arrangements.
