Martha L. Allen, 91, of Vencice, Fla., died Friday, May 13, 1983 at the Sarasota Nursing Pavilion in Sarasota, Fla.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 18 at the Nevada United Methodist Church. Rev. Harold Wagner will officiate. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.
Allen was born to C. F. and Mary (Olson) Rasmusson on April 8, 1891. She was married to E. D. Allen in Zearing in 1913. She had lived two miles north of Nevada since 1919, and had lived the last year in Sarasota after moving from Londonderry, N.H.
She was affiliated with the Nevada United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Women's Club in Nevada, the Garden Club, Milford Club, and Golden Agers.
She is survived by one son, Delmar F. Allen of Vencice, Fla.; two sisters, Emma Kearns of Auburn, Nebr. and Pearl Thomas of San Leandro, Calif.; one grandchild; and three great grandchildren.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, E. D. Allen, who died in 1972, and a grandchild.
The family will receive friends beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening, May 17 at the Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada.
