Cora (Hill) Molde 1895 - 1975

Funeral services for Cora Molde, Story City were held May 24, 1975 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Story City with Pastor C. A. Gisselquist officiating. Janet Olson was organist and also accompanied Mrs. Tim Yantis who sang "God Will Take Care of You" and "When Peace Like A River". Burial was at the Roland Cemetery.
Pallbearers were her nephews, Larry Ellingson, Don Ellingson, O'Dean Arneson, Raymond Hill, Max Halverson and Gary Hill.
Cora Molde, the daughter of Knute and Bertha Hill, was born on November 25, 1895 and passed away suddenly from a heart attack at her home on May 22, 1975 at the age of 79 years. She attended the Roland schools, and was baptized and confirmed in the Salem Lutheran Church, Roland.
She was married to Ted Molde on March 22, 1917 and they recently celebrated their 58th anniversary. They farmed in the Nevada territory for 51 years, moving to Story City in the fall of 1968 and joined Immanuel Lutheran Church. She was active in church, Ladies Aid and Circle and helped with crafts at Bethany Manor. She also belonged to the Milford Happy Hour Club.
She is survived by her husband, Ted and six children, four daughters, Corrine, Mrs. Harold Dyer, Ames, Grace, Mrs. James Helland, Roland, Dorothy, Mrs. Harlan Kreutner, Story City and Shirley, Mrs. Joe Jensen, Dell Rapids, South Dakota. Two sons, Lester of Chetek, Wisconsin and Kermit of Roland and 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Maggie Johnson , St. Paul, Minn.,Alma Ellingson, McCallsburg and Mayne Hill, Roland, and one brother, John Hill, Story City. She was preceded in death by an infant son, her parents, two grandchildren and three brothers and one sister.
