Hildegarde Caroline Petrus, 69, of Nevada, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 1982 at the Story County Hospital.
She was born Oct. 16, 1911 in Herman, Mo. the daughter of William and Emma Huffman Faes. On Oct. 6, 1934 she married Albert Petrus in Jefferson City, Mo. the couple moved from Missouri to Hubbard in 1948 and to Nevada in 1953.
Mrs. Petrus was a member of the Pleasant Grove Church and served on its church council and was active in the Easter Seals program.
She is survivied by her husband, three sons, Forest of Ames, Dale of Nevada, and Gary of Des Moines; two brothers, Donald Faes and Vernon Faes of Herman, Mo.; two sisters, Florence Rauch of St. Louis. Mo. and Lorene Duffiner of Herman, Mo.; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry and a brother, Edmond.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27 at the Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada, with Rev. Heinie Boomgarden officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.
