THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, May 27, 2008.

Leon B. "Gus" Bachtell, 77, of Strawberry Point, Iowa, and formerly of Arlington and Iowa Falls, died Sunday, May 25, at Lutheran Home in Strawberry Point.

Funeral services for Gus Bachtell will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Iowa Falls, with the Rev. Kenneth Krueger officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Volga, Iowa. A time of visitation will be from 10 a.m. Wednesday until service time at the church.

Linn's Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
