NEVADA JOURNAL, Nevada, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, May 15, 2008.

Pauline Annis (Jay) Andrew, 86 of Bondurant, formerly of Colo, died on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at hey daughter's home in Bondurant. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 14 at the Colo United Methodist Church, 602 4th Street in Colo, with Pastor Lewis Flanigan officiating. Burial followed in the Colo Cemetery.

Pauline was born on May 8, 1922 in Liberty Township, Marshall County to Charles W. and Lillian M. (Sharp) Jay. She graduated from Colo High School on May 10, 1939. On January 27, 1939, Pauline married John Carr Andrew in Kirksville, MO. She was employed by Reuben H. Donnelley Corp in Nevada and retired from the National Animal Disease Center in Ames. She and John had resided in Zearing and Colo prior to moving to Bondurant in 2004. Pauline was a member of the Colo United Methodist Church, UMW, and Cloverleaf Club. She enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting and loved spending time with her family.

Pauline is survived by her husband, John Carr Andrew of Bondurant; a son, John Andrew (Judy Ann) of Cambridge; 6 daughters, Janet Maas (Alan) of Cedar Rapids, Sally Donald (Ron) of Van Horne, IA; Jean Donald (Jim) of Weatherford, TX, Judy Kaye Andrew of Nevada, Debra Stitt (John) of Ft. Collins, CO, and Tammy Spencer (Mike) of Bondurant; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Geraldene Annabelle Jay Burg of Ames and Ardis Arletta Jay Wilson (Raymond-Heav) of Colo; 2 sister-in-laws, Lois Jay of Colo and Mildred Jay of Boone; a brother-in-law, Richard (Short) Wilson of Colo.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Wendall, Lester and Wayne Jay, 2 sisters Phyllis Julia Jay Wilson and Charlene Jeanette Jay, and a grandson, Myron Benjamin Andrew.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Pauline's name for the Iowa Conference United Methodist Camp.

Chet Ryan Mortuary and Cremation Services was entrusted with the care of Pauline and her family.
