Bonnie Thompson, 75, of Story City, died Friday, March 14, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City. Burial will be in the Roland Cemetery.

Bonnie Thompson was born April 4, 1932, near Roland to Harvey and Sylvia (Egeland) Lura. She married Marvin Thompson on March 5, 1960. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and enjoyed reading and playing solitaire.

She is survived by her daughter, Laura Brackett, of Story City; three grandchildren, Cody, Brianna and Grace; and nieces and nephews, Sylvia Anderson, Wayne, Darrel, Keith and Dennis Posegate and Rodney and Kristine Mattila.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Marvin and three sisters, Elaine Posegate, Florence Mattila and infant sister Dorothy.

A memorial has been established in her name.

Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City.
