July 15, 1917-March 12, 2008

Mary Louise Catron Maple, 90, died Wednesday, March 12, in Ames. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, at Adams Funeral Home.

Louise was born July 15, 1917, and was raised in Richmond, Ind. She was a graduate of Earlham College. She had lived in Ames since 1949. She was the loving wife of Dr. G. Claire Maple, who, for many years, was director of the Computation Center as well as a math professor at Iowa State University.

She is survived by her sister, Helene Blasewitz, of Springfield, Ohio; her nieces, Kathryn Valerie Catron, of Springfield, Ohio, and D'Arcy Catron Wagner, of Kingman, Ariz.; and her grandnephew, Hunt Wagner.

Memorials may be sent to the Octagon Center for the Arts in Ames.

Adams Funeral Home and Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
