TRI COUNTY TIMES, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, March 13, 2008.

Helen passed away from emphysema on March 4, 2008, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa.

Helen was born April 5, 1929 in Cambridge, Iowa to Frank and Lillie Mittlestadt. Helen attended Cambridge School and married Glen Aldrich on March 5, 1946. Helen and Glen had four children; Pam, Kay, Kelly and Glenda and lived their married life in Cambridge. Glen passed away Oct. 8, 1993 and Helen moved to Ankeny shortly thereafter.

Helen will be remembered by all who knew her as a fun loving person who would do anything for her family and friends.

Helen is survived by her daughters, Pam (Harlan) Slippy of Ankeny, IA; Glenda Aldrich of Huxley, IA and her son, Kelly Aldrich of Cambridge, IA; brothers, Clayton Mittlestadt and Herman Mittlestadt of Nevada, IA; Jim Mittlestadt of Romeo, MI and Jerry Mittestadt of San Diego, CA as well as grandchildren Glen Terrell, Kari Langer, Trista Fraser, Pammie Aldrich and nine great grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister June Aldrich, brother Ed Mittestadt, daughter Kay Terrell and granddaughter Kristi Slippy.

Visitation was held at the Ankeny Funeral Home, 1510 W. First St., Ankeny, IA on Saturday, March 8, 2008 with the Memorial service immediately following.
