April 18, 1941-Feb. 25, 2008

Wayne Everett Olson, 66, of Ames, died Monday, Feb. 25, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 29, at NEVADA MEMORIAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 701 11th St., in Nevada. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery with full military honors.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Adams Funeral Home in Ames.

Wayne Everett Olson was born April 18, 1941, in Jewell, to Udell and Margaret (Christopher) Olson. He married Margaret Den Herder Aug. 21, 1965, in Ames. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany as specialist 5th Class from October 1966 to October 1968. He was an interior designer for Interiors on Main of Ames.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret, of Ames; his mother, Margaret Olson Testori, of Ames; one daughter-in-love, Sita Zarnegar, of Ames; one son-in-love, Amadeio Zarnegar, of Ames; one sister, Sharon (Alan) Swenson, of Thompson; one brother, Mark (Bonnie) Olson, of Elgin, Ill.; five nieces, Kimberly (Harlan) McGuire, Tammy Swenson, Jennifer Olson, Andrea (Claudio) Encina and Sarah (David) Hanlon; and four great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.
