Glenn L. Schrader, 92, died Monday, Jan. 28, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Services were Friday, Feb. 1, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, S.D., with burial following at Woodlawn Cemetery, also in Sioux Falls.

Glenn L. Schrader was born Nov. 27, 1915, in Brookings, S.D. He graduated from South Dakota State University in 1941 and joined the U.S. Army in 1942. He served in the 8th Army Air Corps in England as an electrical specialist for B-17 bombers.

In August 1945, he joined the Extension Service and became the County Extension Agent for Minnehaha County in 1946. He retired from the Extension service in April 1979.

He was an active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, serving as a deacon and Sunday school teacher for many years, and became a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Ames.

He married Eva F. Johnson May 28, 1945, and they made their home in Sioux Falls for 53 years before moving to Ames. At the time of his death, he was a resident of Bethany Manor in Story City.

He is survived by one son, Glenn Schrader Jr., of Tucson, Ariz., and one daughter, Elaine Easley, of Ridgefield, Conn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eva; three brothers, Leonard, Ralph and Duane; and one sister, Valda.
