Arthur P. D'Silva, 80, of Ames, died Sunday, Feb. 17, at Mary Greeley Medical Center. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., with a prayer service to follow, Wednesday, Feb. 20, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

Arthur P. D'Silva was born May 2, 1927, in India, to Peter and Lillian D'Silva. He married Cecilia De Souza Jan. 1, 1949. He moved to Ames with his family July 4, 1968, and worked at the Ames Lab until he retired.

He is survived by three sons and their spouses, Adrian (Deborah), Brian (Corinne) and Collin (Sharon); and four grandchildren, Vanessa, Ian, Patrick and Anna.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, and wife, Cecilia.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
