Marian E. (Hubbell) McKim, 90 of Nevada, died on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Story County Long Term Care. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 26 at the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Steve Williams officiating. Private inurnment will be held in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

The daughter of Byron and Maude (Hilton) Hubbell, Marian was born on November 29, 1917 near Menahga, Minnesota. She graduated from high school in Plover, Iowa, in 1935 and was married to Hal McKim on April 8, 1936. Following their marriage they moved to Nevada, Iowa.

Those left to honor her memory are her four children, Janis (Doug) Diehl and Larry (Claudia) McKim, all of Nevada, Lois (Bob) Allen of Pella, and Marge (Don) Morphet of Groveland, Florida; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; and a brother Don Hubbell of Rockwell City, Iowa.

Preceding Marian in death were her parents, her husband on January 13, 1983, and 7 brothers.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 25 from 5-7:00 P.M. at Chet Ryan Mortuary, 708 Fifth Street in Nevada.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in honor of Marian to the Iowa Hospice, 2 West Main, Marshalltown, IA 50158 or the First United Methodist Church in Nevada.
