NEVADA - Helen W. Inglis Olinger, 89, died Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at Story County Long Term Care in Nevada, Iowa. Services were held Sunday, December 23, 2007, 2:00 PM at the Central Presbyterian Church in Nevada. Burial was in the Nevada Cemetery.

Visitation was Saturday from at the Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada.

Helen was born at Ames, Iowa on October 14, 1918 the daughter of John and Mary Jane (Walker) Inglis. She graduated from Ames High School in 1937. She married Wayne Olinger on November 23, 1940 in Chillicothe, Missouri.

She was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church and a former Deacon; a member of The Order of Eastern Star and Rainbow Girls. She loved her husband and family and grandchildren and enjoyed poetry, butterflies, nature and Bible reading.

Helen is survived by her husband, Wayne of Nevada, Iowa; three sons: Dave (Sue) Olinger of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Dean (Cindy) Olinger and Dan Olinger, both of Ames, Iowa; four daughters: DeLories (Alton) Carsrud of Nevada, Iowa, Mary (Ron) Pauley of LaGrange, Georgia, Janice (Jim) Cook of Zearing, Iowa and Harriet (Ed) Flick of San Pedro, California; 17 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one grandson, Wade Pauley; one brother, James Inglis; two sisters: Mary Elizabeth Sarsfield and Winifred Inglis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Central Presbyterian Church in Nevada.

Bacon Funeral Home & Crematory was in charge of arrangements.
