Nov. 22, 1919-Dec. 26, 2007

Geraldine "Jerry" Edna Jolly, 88, of Ames, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, at her home in Timberland Village in Story City. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at First Christian Church in Ames, with visitation from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Geraldine "Jerry" Edna Jolly was born Nov. 22, 1919, in Louisville, Ky., to Gottfried and Edna (Bickle) Oehrle. She married Francis Jolly Jan. 2, 1950, in Daytona Beach, Fla. She was a resident of Ames for 40 years and Story City the past four years.

She enjoyed her family, friends, sing-a-long chorus and bingo.

She is survived by one son, Lynn (Diane) Jolly, of Cherokee; two daughters, Dawn (Dennis) Heaberlin, of Story City, and Shari (Kyl) Cabbage, of West Des Moines; eight grandchildren, Xena, Ross and Todd Jolly, Alex and Nathan Heaberlin, Amber Culp, and Margaret and Siena Cabbage; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Maxine (Charles) Bacom, of Port Orange, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Margie; and one brother, Fred.

Memorial contributions may be directed to First Christian Church of Ames or Bethany Life Communities.

Stevens Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
