The Story County Herald, Story City, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday July 13, 2005.
On June 29, 2005, Heaven opened with the purest of light to welcome and receive two of God's Angels.
Jessica Estelle Johnson, age 19, born Feb. 22, 1986 and Stephanie Michelle Johnson, age 17, born April 27, 1988, were the daughters of Curtis Clarke Johnson of Millbrook, Alabama and JoAnn Branch Johnson of Luling, Louisiana.Jessica, a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Hahnville High School in Luling, Louisiana, recently completed her first year at Auburn University majoring in Bio-Engineering. Stephanie, also a Magna Cum Laude honor student of Hahnville High School was to return this school year as a senior. Beyond their strong academic gifts, Jessica and Stephanie were empowered with the gift of giving of themselves. The lives they touched in both of their home communities in Millbrook and Luling were painted with joys and laughter of these two talented and beautiful young women.
Jessica's greatest loves were her family and friends which she held near to their heart. She loved to travel abroad and had plans to see all Seven Wonders of the World and every place in between. Stephanie was the rock and solace of her family and to many, many of her friends. Her vibrant, charismatic personality electrified the air around her. While she too loved to travel, her passion was the fashion world and had been researching as her high school senior project, public broadening interests. Both girls loved so strongly the world around them and all those who knew them. Their spiritual resevoir ran deep, as Jesus was always leading and guiding all decisions they made for themselves. All of their loving family and friends will miss the glow of these spiritually empowered young women as they were loved so deeply. We know they are safe in the arms of Jesus and our Lord God.
