THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Sunday, December 23, 2007.

Albert "Shorty" Victor Wille Jr., 79, of Williamsburg, died Thursday, Dec. 20, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, of heart failure. Celebration of life services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Williamsburg. Pastor Richard Meyer will officiate. Burial will be at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Albert "Shorty" Victor Wille Jr. was born Oct. 15, 1928, in York Township, Iowa County, the son of Albert J. Sr. and Anna (Weise) Wille. He attended Immanuel Parochial School. He married Dolores Lorenz April 9, 1950, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, where he held numerous positions. He farmed and lived on the family farm until 2000, when he and Dolores moved to Williamsburg. Shorty also sold Vigortone Feed and enjoyed working with Lon Jennings building homes. He enjoyed playing cards, spending time with his family and was a woodworking man at heart.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores, of Williamsburg; one son, Jerry (Jane) Wille, of Story City; two daughters, Donna (David) Skow, of Lincoln, Neb., and Rosalie (John) Meier, of Menomonee Falls, Wis.; five grandchildren, Brian (Amy) Wille, Kari (Jason) Schaufenbuel, Ryan (Amber) Horn, Nicole (Albert) Greenwood and Eric Horn; and three great-grandchildren, Alexa Horn, Kadrin Greenwood and Amelia Rose Schaufenbuel.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Orville and Raymond Wille; one sister, Loretta Heitshusen; and one daughter, Lynnette Elizabeth Wille.

Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Interparish School.
