Harold "Bob" Robert Hoth, age 90, of Radcliffe, died on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Dec. 10, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Radcliffe. Harold will be buried at Radcliffe Cemetery in Radcliffe.

Friends may call at Bethany Manor in Story City on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007 from 3:30 to 7:00 p.m.
Boeke Funeral Home of Radcliffe is in charge of arrangements.

Harold Robert "Bob" Hoth was born on Dec. 5, 1917 in Sumner, Iowa the son of Robert and Josephine (Gruning) Hoth.

In his early years, he loved the time he spent on the farm. He received his education by attending country school.

On July 19, 1939 Harold was united in marriage to Ellen Turner in Waterloo, Iowa. To this union six children were born. They lived in several communities in Northeast Iowa.

On June 22, 1968 Harold married Verdelle (Maakestad) Reisetter and brought her family of six children into his life.

Harold was a hard worker. The last of his working years were spent at Waterloo Mills and Cedar Falls Street Department. He retired in 1979. After his retirement, they moved to Radcliffe and resided there until 2004 when he was put under the care of Bethany Manor in Story City, Iowa.

Harold went to meet the Savior he loved on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa.

Those remaining to cherish his memory include his wife of 39 years, Verdelle Hoth of Story City; six children JoAn (David) Hinton of Parma, Ohio, James Hoth of Waterloo, Marjorie (Roger) Heiserman of Manchester, Janet (James) Johnson of Eagle Grove, Linda (Steven) Miller of Manchester, and Brenda Ropson, also of Manchester; six step-children, Tom (Janis) Reisetter of Cedar Falls, David (Marianna) Reisetter of Westmont, Illinois, Mary (Laveme) Severseike of Garden City, Michael Reisetter of Brookings, South Dakota, Mark (Jean) Reisetter of Lewiston, Minnesota and Becky Rolland of LaPorte City; 38 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; and a few great-great-grandchildren; one sister Evelyn Primus of Sumner; along with other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Helen Shanewise, one brother Floyd Hoth and one son-in-law Steve Rolland.
